Smashing Magazine has selected Ashford for a second time and listed it with other top WordPress frameworks like Thematic, Carrington and Hybrid. I just noticed that a decent number of people are searching for how to remove the breadcrumbs. As this is a usability feature that I thought a “premium” theme should include, I am kind of surprised. Adding drop down menus, child themes, new page templates

Ashford got a temporary color change to match the default colors of the new Superfish drop down menus. In the process, I refactored every page testing it against several child themes. I am glad to announce that I added the first subtheme to Ashford in the release ready for download today. As I stated before, Wireframe is a “base” subtheme. Google Analytics and Feedburner support in release v0.1.3

I am happy to announce the newest release of Ashford. Download it now! If you want to use Google Analytics to track metrics, you can now paste the your code snippet directly into the Theme Configurator. Ashford will automatically add this code to the bottom of each page and begin reporting data back to Google. [...] Read more »
