How do I change my password?

To change your password:

  1. Select the Dashboard → Users → Your Profile
  2. Scroll down to the Update Your Password section
  3. Type in a new password in the two boxes provided.
  4. Click the UPDATE PROFILE button
  5. Your new password takes effect immediately

If you forgot your password, you can use the “lost password” feature of WordPress.

  • Go to your WordPress Login page (e.g. http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php)
  • Click on Lost Password
  • Enter your user name or the email address on file for that account
  • Check your email and follow the instructions

How can I edit my display name?

By default, WordPress uses your username (which can not be edited) as your public display name. For example, all bylines for this site were “by ADMIN”. I modified my public display name to display my first and last name:

  • Select the Dashboard → Users → Your profile subpanel
  • Enter first and last names plus a “nickname”
  • Select the name you want published by selecting an option from the Display name publicly as drop down.
