Activation trouble
Often people have trouble activating Pro after using the Free version of Ashford. Kenneth Poveda Mata is one of our Ashford Approved Developers, he has this advice:
- Make sure that you uploaded all of the files if your install is a brand new one, or if you were upgrading make sure you overwrote/deleted all the old files.
- Check that you are running the same version of Ashford, so if you have v2.3 then make sure Ashford and Ashford Pro match. You shouldn’t run different versions.
- Disable all of your plugins and activate your theme, check to see it works.
- If it does you are narrowing down the possibilities. Enable one plugin at a time, making sure you clear your cache between tries as to not get false results.
And last but not least, before making changes to your theme files, check online if the error exists, and how others fixed it. Also if you are running the latest WordPress install, do a search with the wordpress version plus your error.
