Make sure that you are running WordPress 3.1. Then follow the instructions below:
- Download and save Ashford WinZip file (ashford.zip)
- Log in to the WordPress
- Click the Appearance → Themes → Install Themes (tab) → Upload
- Upload ashford.zip
- Follow the instructions to Activate
On the home page, you will see a Welcome screen with a message. This screen will help you get started on your new web site. You can remove the Welcome screen on the Theme Options page, select “no” on Display Welcome screen.
If you get an error using WordPress
Depending on a variety of factors, you may not be able to upload the themes using WordPress. If this is the case, here is how to use FTP and manually add the themes.
- Download and save Ashford WinZip file (ashford.zip)
- Unzip ashford.zip → ashford (extract to a folder)
- Open your FTP (e.g. Filezilla) and connect to your server
- Find the folder /wp-content/theme
- Upload ashford to /wp-content/theme
- Log in to the WordPress
- Click the Appearance → Themes
- Find Ashford → Click Activate
