Ashford Pro users can add a Image Hero to any page on your site. Use this to add an eye-popping image to any page.
What is a Image Hero?
As demonstrated on this page, a Image Hero is places a 940px wide image the top of page.
Instructions
Create an image 940px by 240px (FYI: an image hero can be any height).
Use the “Featured Image” for the Hero
- Add or edit a page
- Find the Ashford Pro Settings panel
- Find Hero type and select “image”
- Find Hero Link and enter a URL (optional) to wrap the image
- Find “Set Featured Image” panel in the right sidebar
- Click “Set featured image”
- Upload an image (940px by 240px)
- Click the “Use as featured image” link located next to the “Insert into Post”
- Click Save all changes and close the media panel
- Click Publish or Update to save these changes
Option #2
- Add or edit a page
- On Ashford Pro Settings panel enter “image” to Hero Type
- Enter image URL to Hero Image
- Enter linked URL to Hero Link (optional ability to wrap image in a link)
You may set a featured image AND enter an image URL. In this case, Ashford will use the entered URL not the set featured image.
