How to add a pitch hero (image plus call to action button)

Ashford Pro users can add a Image Hero to any page on your site. Use this to add an eye-popping image to any page.

What is a Pitch Hero?

As demonstrated on this page, a Pitch Hero is places a 940px wide image the top of page like the Image Hero but adds a button.

Instructions

Create an image 940px by 240px.

Option #1

  • Add or edit a page
  • On Ashford Pro Settings panel enter “image” to Hero Type
  • Enter linked URL to Hero Link
  • Enter text to Hero Button Text
  • Find “Featured Image” panel in the right sidebar
    • Click “Set featured image”
    • Upload an image (940px by 240px)
    • Click the “Use as featured image” link located next to the “Insert into Post”
    • When Ashford Pro uploads an image it automatically creates a “hero” image 940px wide (proportionally tall) behind the scenes. This is the image that is used by the Slider.
    • Click Save all changes and close the media panel
  • Click Publish or Update to save these changes

  • Add or edit a page
  • On Ashford Pro Settings panel enter “image” to Hero Type
  • Enter image URL to Hero Image
  • Enter linked URL to Hero Link
  • Enter text to Hero Button Text
  • Click Publish or Update to save these changes
