Ashford is easily modified without editing HTML, CSS or PHP. It does not require confusing “Custom Fields” to be set. Theme Options focus cover three phases of running a site: customize, build and grow.

- Replace the blog name and tagline with a logo image
- Display search box in header
- Display “RSS” icon button with navigation
- Display drop down menus up to three levels deep
- Add a category sub-navigation menu
- Display speed dial buttons at bottom of entire site
- Enter footer text (e.g. Creative Commons)
- Display site building hints when logged in
- Display welcome screen when logged in
Grow
- Optimize front page title for search engines
- Optimize meta keywords and description for search engines
- Replace default RSS feed with Feedburner RSS url
- Append text/code to the end of each RSS summary (e.g. text ad)
- Add Google Analytics code
