Administer Inplace Toolset
The following adminster focused features make Ashford unique. LIke no other theme, Ashford extends WordPress administration and tools into the theme. Instead of searching for using the WordPress Dashboard to search for pages or posts, administrators using Ashford can:
- Browse to the page they need to change
- Get hints on how to maintain that page
- Follow links to edit content
- Perform other common tasks (e.g. moderate a comment)
Adminbar - Most WordPress themes bury the administration links in the sidebar. Ashford adds an easily found blue menu above your content with links to common tasks.
Edit Icons - Most WordPress themes have put a “edit” link near the page or comment titles. Ashford extends this useful feature putting easily found edit icons next to all post, page and comment titles.
HINTS - As administers browse their site, Ashford displays HINTS assist in activating a feature.
Welcome - After you successfuling set up the Ashford Theme, administrators will see a “what next” box on the home page as a guide.
Configure Ashford - When you select this theme, you will see a new ‘Ashford’ sub navigation option. Click here to set up Ashford. You will be able to shut off the HINTS or Welcome message for example.
