This is an early release which is sometimes called a Beta. Although it is being used on this web site, your mileage may vary. Ashford requires WordPress Version 2.6.
Are you ready to update Ashford? If you already use Ashford, download the latest release, unzip and replace all your existing files in /wp-content/themes/ashford
Get started
You are ready to download and install Ashford.
- Make sure that you are running WordPress 2.6 (learn how to upgrade)
- Download and save Ashford WinZip file (ashford.zip)
- Unzip the files it contains
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server
- Copy the entire ashford folder to the /wp-content/themes folder
Now you are ready to make Ashford your current or active theme.
- Log in to the WordPress
- Click the Design panel menu tab
- From the Themes subpanel find Ashford in the Available Themes section
- Click Ashford to make it your current them
- If this was successful, you will see Ashford listed as your current theme
- To view the new theme, click View Site at the top of the screen
On the home page, you will see a Welcome screen with a “what next” message. This screen will help you setup, build and customize your new web site.
