eReader ownership doubles in six months

Pew reports that the number of adults who own an e-reader doubled from November 2010 to May 2011. It is also interesting to note that e-readers are more popular than tablet computers.

A recent study by Nielsen found that people visiting your site using a tablet like the iPad are very likely to be: watching TV, lying in bed, with friends or family or waiting for something. With Ashford, they still get the “desktop” version of your site and so when we write, we need to stop imagining our audience sitting on a chair, at a desk, with large monitor.

Almost half—47% of American adults use their cellphones and tablet computers to get local news and the information sought out is practical and real time according to Pew Internet Life Project.

HTML is the language of the web. Unfortunately, it is not well structured. Bing, Google and Yahoo! launched schema.org in an effort to help developers like me describe content/data in a more structured way. This is not really new. The news is that there is consensus which will lead to wide adoption.
